Roomali with a View

Location: 100 feet Road, Indira Nagar
Cuisine: Rajasthani
Speciality: Lunch Buffet
Cost: >600 for 2
An interesting name... An even interesting ambience. This restaurant is famous in Bangalore for its Rajasthani Delicacies. The ambience gives you the feel of Rajasthani Royalty... Bilkul wahi andaaz!!

For the souls who have been craving for Daal-Baati for some time, this is the place to go. You will get to taste Authentic Rajasthani khana in this place and some soft music combined with an elegant ambience. What more can one want :)

My Recommendation: Try out the place on a lazy Saturday/Sunday afternoon. The delicious food is bound to make you ready for the afternoon siesta! :)

SOrry to spoil the fun for you buddy...but have been there twice and even my cousins...thats not rajasthani royalty at all...if u have ever been to jodhpur/jaipur etc...u ll never say that...its nt even a speck on wht true hospitality there is about... :)

plus the authenticity of food is a question...the daal-baati u talk of, if u dont have an option in bangalore, its sure tastes good...but in no ways authentic...bas "kaam chalau"

but yeah the general food there is quite homely, and filling...plus its a reasonably value-for-money when we rajasthanis wanna feel at home, though with major compromises...

The only place in your blog (as of yet), Nova, that I have not visited more than once, and the reasons are numerous, but not bad food.

Ever tried Thaali, they also serve good Rajasthani food, is quite quiet (at least the Koramangala one was, which later was closed down), and you are treated royally.

When I read the name 'Roomali' I was quickly taken back to a nice cosy little eating place on St. Marks Road - behind Spencers called Roomali.

For me, that place set a benchmark of what Roomali rotis should be. Very very few places have come close to that meeting that benchmark.

I believe 'Roomali' has since closed down.
