Popsies

Location: Koramangala 5th block, On the road parallel to JNC
Cuisine: Chinese
Speciality: American Choupsey
Cost: >100 for 2

This is a small, elegant, ethnic place right in the heart of Koramangala. The place is not well known, and in a little diversion from the main road. But, its hard not to notice the shining Green board that says "Popsies" - Font in chinese dragon style ;)

The ambience is sooo good... Not very flashy, but at the same time, very quiet - so much so that you would love having a quiet, private dinner there!

My Recommendation: First time going out with someone!? I would say a great place to have that first special date ;) Would be really light on your pocket and whats more important is, u wud get to spend some time together :)

Queens

Owned by: A punjabi couple
Location: Church Street, Opposite to Three Quarters Chinese
Cuisine: North Indian
Speciality: One of the best Punjabi khana available here
Cost: >250 for 2

Queens is a very plain looking place on church street, which boasts of some of the best known restaurants of Bangalore. But, you go there on a weekday or a weekend, you are bound to stand there in waiting. This is a tesimony enough of the popularity of the restaurant amidst North-Indian-food-loving population.

At all times, you will find owners sitting right there. Uncle taking care of the accounts, while aunty coming back and forth from the kitchen. This ensures that quality is never compromised on. You can always count on great punjabi food...

My Recommendation: If ur office happens to be near MG Road and you are bored of office food daily, Queens is the perfect place to try out some great punjabi food, like Makke di roti and Sarson da saag... Ummm... Slurrp! :)

Sahib Sindh Sultan

Owned by: BJN Group of Hotels
Location: The Forum Mall, Koramangala
Cuisine: Multicuisine, with royal culinary and royal treatment
Speciality: Great food combined with Great Ambience
Cost: > Rs. 1000 for 2

Sahib Sindh Sultan is one of the most exquisite restaurants of Bangalore. It is owned by the BJN Group of hotels, who are famous for coming up with new theme-based restaurants.

The Speciality of this Restaurant is that it takes you back in time, when travelling by train was a luxury, which only the Royalties could afford. You have the entire restaurant in the form of Train compartment of the 17th century. The Restaurant captains are dressed at Ticket Collectors.

What makes the experience perfect are the old hindi movie songs picturised on trains, playing softly in the background. They gel so well with the rest of the ambience that you are drifted back in time!!

The vegetarian dishes are particularly luscious! And the desserts to die for!

My recommendation: You should visit this place on a special occasion, to have a quiet, romantic dinner, with your special someone! Spending a little extra wont hurt then ;) And yes, if you have a shaukeen-mizaz, then I would also recommend you to try their Meetha Paan! Ummmm.... :)

Why this blog!?

I am a connoisseur of good food. I love visiting new food eat-outs and love experimenting with new cuisines (has been quite a disaster, I must tell u!!! :( )

So, here I am. Since, I have been in Bangalore for quite some time and have frequently visited the eat-outs, I am now going to start reviewing Restaurants of Bangalore.

This blog will tell you which cuisine is good where, which restaurant is a visual delight... and the likes!!

Hope you like it :)

Cheers
