India Gate

Location: 2001, Kattima centre, 100ft Road, Indiranagar, Bangalore - 560038.
Landmark: Adidas showroom, near Domlur flyover
Phone: 415190000, 41519002
Cusine: Awadhi / North Indian
Cost: 900 Rs for 2
Buffet: 225 Rs + taxes
India Gate, a relatively unknown restaurant in the Indiranagar neighborhood, has good ambience matched with sumptuous menu. On the 3rd floor of the building hosting adidas showroom and a Chinese restaurant, Great Wall, one could easily miss this place. Serves north Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, a nice bar along side serves liquor.
Food matches the good ambience, but limited mocktails didn't impress me. Since i went for a lunch, had to abstain from variety of cocktails. Worth a visit, though pricing is on a slightly higher side. Buffet lunch on weekdays is priced at 225 Rs (plus taxes).
My recommendation: There were few people on a Sunday afternoon i went, unlike in other restaurants. Try out this place for nice ambience and good north Indian food on a lazy weekend.

The Village
Location: MSK Plaza, 3rd Floor, 100ft road, Indiranagar.
Landmark: Cafe coffee day
Phone: 080-41263331, 41263332
Cusine: North Indian
Speciality: Lunch Buffet
Cost: Rs.150/- per person for lunch buffet
Otherwise, > 500 for 2
Located on the bustling street on 100ft road Indiranagar, The Village supposedly has the ambience of a village albeit with comfortable chairs and dining area. The restaurant being on the 3rd floor gives a good view with cool breeze. Decent north Indian food for the lunch, with couple of non vegetarian delicacies.
My Recommendation:
When you are bored of your daily lunch at around work you can drop in at The Village.

Indijoe Resto Pub
Location: RMZ infinity, Old madras road, Bangalore.
Phone: 41113377/3553
Cusine: Continental
Speciality: Lunch buffet, and nice bar
Cost: > 600 for 2
Lunch buffet, Rs.125/- per person
Down the old madras road after Big Bazaar you'll find this huge tech park with offices of ADI, Google, Ernst & Young et al. Indijoe's located at this campus, RMZ Infinity, along with various other outlets with food courts, and CCD. A new outlet of the well known Indijoe on Airport road. Serving continental food, this restaurant is the best value-for-money for lunch buffet.
They have pizzas, breads, noodles, fusillis, salads, and various sauces for buffet. They serve a couple of non-vegetarian delicacies. They also have biryani and curd rice in the buffet!
My Recommendation: A decent retro ambience with the option of dining either inside or outside in a clean place makes this a restaurant worth a visit for lunch when you don't have much work at office. :)
